Application Architect (JA-MY-2009-100003)


Overview

A senior/architect-level professional, the Systems Development Specialist is a fully qualified individual producer who applies a broad knowledge of engineering/automation concepts, practices and procedures. Incumbents are competent to work on fairly complex assignments (and/or portions of larger, complex systems) and perform a full range of development activities. The incumbent generally works under deadlines and is capable of handling heavy workloads, and operating with only general supervision, although errors at this level can cause delay, expense and/or disruption. May provide occasional functional guidance to less experienced staff. Incumbents are responsible for the installation, development, implementation, and customization of hardware and software system elements. 

REPRESENTATIVE PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Design and implementation of Dot Net based web software using C# and MSSQL. Responsible for database design, generation of complex stored procedures, extended stored procedures and DTS packages that are required in the maintenance and development of web software. Research and identify new technologies that will aid in enhancing existing software and development of new systems. Maintains existing software and provides user requested changes and enhancements throughout required change control. May be required to work within a team framework consisting of both on and off-shore developers. 

Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge with respect to software and technology.

Education and Typical Years of Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience. 
Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible related technical experience, including 1 year developing large, technically complex systems and 6 months with major responsibility for developing, revising and controlling technical documentation of a complex system.

Requirements

  • Must have ASP.NET, C# experience. Extensive experience with SQL 2000 preferred. Experience with web security a plus. May be required to travel at times.
  • Minimum of 6 to 7  years experience developing web-based applications with a good bit of recent C# / ASP.NET development work.
  • Strong object oriented analysis, design and development.
  • Strong EAI, Relational Database experience Windows server 2003 platform with RDBMS database modeling skills.
  • Familiarity with configuring and deploying web applications on IIS.
  • Extensive Experience with Software Development methodologies and Familiarity with UML Modeling.
  • Understand and evaluate system requirements for proposed solutions.

Senior UI Designer (JA-MY-2009-100002)

Overview

The incumbent will be responsible for designing user interfaces for our websites and web-based applications including visual look and feel, graphics, styles, navigation, and layout. Also, incumbent will work with developers, and QA engineers throughout the product development, testing, and implementation phases to ensure user interface integrity. Ability to present ideas for feedback and iteration, and help facilitate and coordinate the implementation of a project from start to successful completion.

The ideal candidate is a highly technical individual who takes pride in the organization, cleanliness, maintainability, and efficiency of his or her code, and who has extensive experience coding fast, optimized, and dynamic web user interfaces using technologies like XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ActionScript. 
Requirements

  • Solid understanding and fluency in HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript skills & table-less coding practices are required.
  • Strong Flash and ActionScript (2.0 and/or 3.0) with working experience in Flash Video, sound integration, filters, animations and transitions.
  • Minimum 5+ yrs industry experience required. The ideal candidate will have strong visual design skills, experience taking mockups and turning them into standards compliant HTML/CSS and achieving cross-browser compatibility in IE 6/7/8, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. Solid understanding of cross-platform browsers compatibilities and image-optimization for the web.
  • Working knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash).
  • Experience using bug tracking systems such as Bugzilla, Mantis, and/or OnTime.
  • Big plus if you have the following: Experience with web accessibility standards, Adobe Flex, Microsoft SilverLight, DNN skinning, WordPress skinning, and passion for Web 2.0 interactive technologies.
  • Self-organized, self-directed, efficient and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks across multiple projects, under tight deadlines. Ability to lead and mentor. Project management experience related to building websites and applications. Thrive in both independent and collaborative work environments.
  • Basic proficiency in version control tools such as CVS.
  • Proven track of record in designing user interfaces for consumer websites and web-based applications is a plus. Please submit portfolio.
  • Experience collaborating with offshore development resources is a plus.
  • Must be a great communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Ability / willingness to learn new skills as required.
