Overview

• Installation, Configuration, Administration and Performance tuning of Websphere Servers.
• Experience in deploying applications in Domain and clustered environments.
• Apply patches and maintain the Websphere servers.
• Troubleshooting routine product issues independently (Incident Tracking and Resolution).
• Develop, facilitate and maintain best of breed product support tools including run books, monitoring, and knowledge bases to aid in the product support process.

Overview

A senior/architect-level professional, the Systems Development Specialist is a fully qualified individual producer who applies a broad knowledge of engineering/automation concepts, practices and procedures. Research and identify new technologies that will aid in enhancing existing software and development of new systems. Maintains existing software and provides user requested changes and enhancements throughout required change control. May be required to work within a team framework consisting of both on and off-shore developers. 

Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge with respect to software and technology.

Education and Typical Years of Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience. 

Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible related technical experience, including 1 year developing large, technically complex systems and 6 months with major responsibility for developing, revising and controlling technical documentation of a complex system.
