Oracle Database Administration (JA-MY-2009-100009)

Overview

• Support of a large and varied Oracle RDBMS and application server environment spanning over a very extensive Solaris landscape, distributed globally.
• Backup and recovery of total environment.
• Analyzing, planning and implementing upgrade projects.
• Design, development and implementation of new Oracle environments to Schedule.
• Database performance management.
• 24x7 On call databases support.

Requirements

• A third level qualification would be preferable.
• 2+ years solid Oracle DBA experience, with strong
  Oracle 8i background.
• Extensive backup and recovery experience.
• Extensive SQL and PL/SQL coding experience.
• Extensive tuning experience.
• Solid knowledge of Korn Shell.
• Solid knowledge of Sun.
• Strong communication, decision making and
  interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Oracle certification is a plus.
