Migration / Change Management Engineer (JA-MY-2009-100010)
Overview
- Handling migration of objects in various technology platforms, e.g. build and deploy Java codes, transport of code or data changes in SAP, Peoplesoft or Mainframe.
- To be on-call on rotation basis to provide prompt support during off-office hours
- Able to perform server Administration, such as Web Server, Application Servers, LDAP and etc.
- Administration of the system to ensure all the system troubleshooting, access and security are in place for various applications and platforms.
- Ensure all the documents and processes are in place during and after migration procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree/technical certification in Computer Science or related and 3 - 5 years of actual work experience.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of management, users and vendors.
- Understanding of Change Management and Migration procedures, and execute tasks in full compliance of such procedures.
- Knowledge/experience in relational database
- Basic knowledge in Unix
- Familiar with popular Java build tools, e.g. Ant, Eclipse is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry security standard and concepts (SSL, SFTP, PGP, etc.) is a plus.
- General business knowledge required. HR Experience preferred.
- Preferable knowledge with various OS platforms, e.g. Windows, Solaris, AIX, Linux, Mainframe, etc.
